Pablo Villalonga Munar (Mallorca, 1988). PhD Architect with international mention cum laude (2020) by the Architectural Design Department of the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB-UPC). Extraordinary award of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2022) and finalist award of the 4th Manuel de Solà-Morales European prize (2023) for his PhD thesis "Encounters with infrastructure". Ex aequo FAD Thought and Criticism Award (2016). Visiting professor at the ETSAB (School of Architecture of Barcelona), Department of Architectural Design, since 2016. Professor and post-doc researcher with the Margarita Salas Grant UPC (2022-2024), Ministerio de Universidades, funded by European Union-NextGenerationEU, member of CIAUD/formaurbis LAB FAUL/ULisboa and Grupo de Investigación en Vivienda Colectiva/ETSAM-UPMadrid. During his carreer he has also collaborated with the other schools and Masters of Art and Design; EINA school of design, MADE Trans, MURAD or Barcelona Architecture Center. Co-founder of “Son” architecture studio (www.sonestudi.com), their works at different scales and formats have been awarded on multiple occasions.
